Changes and Cancellations

By you -

Changes or cancellations to your booking must be received in writing from the lead named passenger and from the email address we have on the booking at least 48 hours before you are due to depart. Any incorrect information entered on your booking is your responsibility and may incur a charge to amend the booking. Changes and cancellations can only be accepted in accordance with the terms and conditions of the supplier of your transfers. We will try to dissuade the Supplier from making any charge in the event of a change or a cancellation but the Supplier may charge the cancellation or amendment charges shown in their booking conditions (which may be as much as 100% of the cost of the transfers and will normally increase closer to the date of departure (particularly during the week before departure). In addition we may require an administration fee of £10.00 per person to cover our time spent processing any amendments to bookings or cancellations. You will be notified of the exact charges at the time of amendment or cancellation.

By the Supplier –

We will inform you should the supplier need to make any significant changes to your confirmed booking, and if it becomes necessary to cancel your confirmed booking we will assist with re-arranging with an alternative provider where possible, but we will have no further liability to you.

Our responsibility for your Booking

Your contract is with the supplier and its booking conditions will apply. As agent, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of the transfers. Our responsibilities are limited to taking reasonable skill and care in selecting suppliers, and making the booking in accordance with your instructions. We accept no responsibility for any information about the transfers that we pass on to you in good faith. Furthermore, we accept no liability for any illness, injury, death or loss of any kind. Any claim for loss, injury, illness or death should be pursued with the Supplier directly or may be covered under the terms of your travel insurance. We only accept liability to you for claims which arise solely as a result of our own negligence. However, in the event that we are found liable to you on any basis whatsoever, our maximum liability to you is limited to twice the cost of your booking (or the appropriate proportion of this if not everyone on the booking is affected). We do not exclude or limit any liability for death or personal injury that arises as a result of our negligence or that of any of our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.

Your Responsibility

You must travel with your booking confirmation as it includes important information such as arrival and departure instructions, the name and contact details of the supplier, 24 hour emergency telephone number, office hours and re-confirmation of your return and/or subsequent transfer pick up dates/times. You must contact the supplier in the event of a cancellation or delay so they can assess the situation, and where possible make alternative arrangements.

Neither we nor the supplier can accept liability or pay compensation where the performance of our obligations to you are affected or prevented as a result of ‘force majeure’. In these terms, ‘force majeure’ means any event which either Transfers4Travel or the supplier could not foresee or avoid, even with due care and consideration. Such events include, but are not limited to :- war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, accidents and related delays, volcanic ash cloud, fire and all similar events outside of our control.

Insurance

We recommend that all passengers are adequately covered by travel insurance before travelling abroad, this should include “supplier failure” cover, as well as lost or stolen items, medical care, delays and cancellations. Please check details before you travel. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate for your particular needs.

Special Requirements

Please advise us at the time of booking if there are any special requirements relating to you party, such as wheelchairs, scooters or child seats. Although these cannot be guaranteed, we will assist where possible.

Child Seats

Transfers4Travel recommends the use of child seats and seat belts at all times. The EU directive 2003/20/EC states that children must use an appropriate child seat until they reach the age of 12 years or until they reach a height of 135 cm, whichever comes first. There is an exemption for licensed taxis :- if no child seat is available, children of 3 years or over may travel in the back seat, as long as they wear an adult seat belt. Children under 3 years of age may be transported without a child seat as long as they travel in the rear of the vehicle on an adults lap.

Wheelchairs

Any passengers travelling with a wheelchair must advise us at the time of booking, . We need to know if the wheelchair is collapsible, the approximate weight & dimensions, and if the passenger can temporarily get out of the chair and into a vehicle.

Luggage

If you are carrying any excess luggage such as more than 1 bag per person, surf boards, golf clubs, bicycles, but not limited to, or other oversized items, you will need to inform us when booking to ensure our suppliers can provide the correct vehicle. Should you fail to notify us, you will be liable for any additional costs incurred.

Behaviour

Our suppliers reserve the right to terminate the transfer if you or your party's behaviour is deemed to be disruptive or threatening towards the vehicle, driver or other passengers. No refund will be provided in this instance. The consumption of alcoholic drinks is not permitted in any of the transfer vehicles, and any damage caused must be paid for by the culprits. We are under no obligation to you if any event such as this occurs. You agree to indemnify us for the full amount of any claim (including all legal costs) made against us by the supplier or any third party as a result.

If you have a Complaint

Because the contract for your arrangements is between you and the supplier, any queries or concerns about them should be addressed to them.

If you have a complaint you must first report it immediately to the local representative of the supplier concerned. If the problem cannot be resolved you should make a written complaint to the supplier in the resort on your return home. You will see their name and contact details in any confirmation documents we send you. We will of course assist you with this if you wish - please contact Transfers4Travel. If you incur any expenses when in resort, please obtain and keep any receipts detailing related costs. Failure to provide receipts to the supplier as part of a complaint may affect your right to claim back any monies owed.

If you fail to follow this procedure there will be less opportunity for the supplier to investigate and rectify your complaint. The amount of compensation you may be entitled to may therefore be reduced or extinguished as a result.

If you have a complaint about the booking services we provide, please write to us. Our maximum liability to you if we are found to have been at fault in relation to any booking service we provide (as opposed to the transfer services themselves for which we are not responsible) is limited to the commission we have earned or are due to earn in relation to the booking in question.

We do not exclude or limit any liability for death or personal injury which arises as a result of our negligence or that our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.
